Why Mind wins first exists
Mind wins first is a mental-performance system for serious athletes — built on a simple belief: the athlete you are under pressure is trained long before pressure arrives.
What started as one athlete’s search for a better way to prepare became a daily method anyone can train with.

HOW IT HELPS
Mental training, turned into a daily practice

Mind wins first helps serious athletes train the mental side of performance the same way they train the physical — deliberately, and every day.
Most athletes know the mental game matters, but never train it with any structure. Mind wins first fixes that. One cue a day, calibrated to your level of competition, builds focus and composure through small reps that compound over time — not motivation that fades, but a method that holds.
How it works
-
One cue each day — no scrolling, no choosing
-
Calibrated to your level of competition
-
A daily commit that builds the streak

THE FOUNDER
Built from experience, not theory.

Mind wins first was built by an athlete who needed it — not as a business idea, but as a way to compete with a clearer mind.
I’m Gregory Taylor — founder of Mind wins first and a Certified Sports Psychology Coach through the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association. I’ve competed my whole life: baseball into my mid-40s, hockey and golf for as long as I can remember, and now competitive pickleball. Off the court, I founded Upper Level Consulting, a digital marketing and development firm, after earning my marketing degree from Rutgers University.
Mind wins first didn’t start as a product — it started as my own exercise. I wanted to perform better, compete better, and be a better teammate, which meant getting out of my own head and controlling my emotions under pressure. I couldn’t find a structured way to train that, so I built one: a daily method, calibrated by level, that turns the mental side of sport into something you practice — not something you hope shows up on game day.
START TRAINING
Train the mental side, every day.
Mind wins first turns mental performance into a daily habit — one cue at a time, calibrated to your level. The app is where the system lives.
